PLA20V8

What do you do when an important integrated circuit is no longer available? You go to PCBWay. Find a project design that joins available chips in a circuit to perform the same function. That is what the PLA20V8 project does for a Commodore 64 PLA chip. The design is simple yet ingenious. The board joins two 24 pin narrow chips allowing them to fit into a 28 pin wide socket. The result is a circuit that is indistinguishable from the original, unavailable part. Because of the design, and PCBWay, the production cost is only about 10% of the alternative solution. PCBWay does much more than fabricate boards and provide assembly services. PCBWay gives us a place to go to find answers, share solutions, and make designs a reality. It allows you to start small then go big at a reasonable cost. The production run of boards is perfect and reordering is as simple as the click of a button. I am truly grateful to PCBWay.
