ePaper PiPod MP3 music player
This is an MP3 player that uses an e-Paper screen instead of an LCD. This save power, enabling a longer play time.
This MP3 player will play files for almost 5 hours using the standard 1200 mAh battery called for in the BOM.
The project is based on the one here: https://www.pcbway.com/project/shareproject/PiPod___Raspberry_pi_Zero_portable_music_player.html
That project is also written up on hackaday.io if you want details (search for "pipod").
NOTE: I am currently having the case files (for this e-Paper version) fabricated for the first time, so they have not been tested. I will update those files after any necessary fixes have been applied.
This project's github site is at: https://github.com/delhatch/PiPod_ePaper
NOTE:
I have not made a fully-assembled unit, so there will certainly be bugs. Make one at your own risk, knowing that patches/tweaks/fixes will be necessary.
KNOWN BUGS:
1) C28 and C29 interfere with the push-button. Fix: Solder one end of the caps directly to the headphone jack terminal, and use a short jumper wire (28-30 gauge wire) on the other end of the capacitor to connect it to the (now unused) pad of C29.
