Mini DSO Oscilloscope With New Features.

Mini DSO Oscilloscope

Project Overview

The Mini DSO Oscilloscope project aims to develop a compact and affordable digital storage oscilloscope (DSO) that serves as an essential tool for electronics enthusiasts, hobbyists, and students. This device will offer the capability to visualize and analyze electrical signals accurately. The heart of the project is based on the following components:

Microcontroller (MCU)

- MCU Model: STC8A8K64S4A12

- Clock Frequency: 27MHz

- Role: The MCU serves as the core processing unit responsible for data acquisition, signal processing, and user interface control.

Display

- Type: 0.96" OLED

- Resolution: 128x64 pixels

- Function: The OLED display provides a clear and vibrant graphical user interface for displaying waveforms, measurements, and settings.

Controller

- Encoder Type: EC11 Rotary Encoder

- Additional Components: Resistors, capacitors, etc.

- Role: The encoder, along with other passive components, enables precise control and adjustment of settings, such as timebase and voltage scaling.

Project Goals:

1. Affordability Our primary goal is to create an oscilloscope that is accessible to budget-conscious electronics enthusiasts, making it an excellent learning tool for students and hobbyists.

2. Portability: The Mini DSO Oscilloscope is designed to be compact and lightweight, making it suitable for both benchtop and on-the-go use.

3. User-Friendly Interface: The intuitive user interface, facilitated by the OLED display and rotary encoder, ensures ease of use for individuals with varying levels of expertise.

4. Functionality: The device will offer essential oscilloscope functions, including waveform capture, triggering, measurement, and data export.

5. Open Source: We plan to release the project as open-source, promoting knowledge sharing and community-driven development.

The Mini DSO Oscilloscope project represents an exciting opportunity to create an accessible and versatile tool for electronics enthusiasts. With PCBWay's sponsorship, we aim to bring this project to fruition, contributing to the educational and DIY electronics communities.
